This will be the fifth year of KCLSO's Composition Competition. The aim of this competition is to provide composers at King's with the opportunity to have their composition performed by a full orchestra. The winner of this competition will have their composition performed by KCLSO in a future concert.

4 shortlisted compositions will be workshopped by the whole orchestra on a Thursday rehearsal (exact date TBC).

Requirements:​

- Please present us with an orchestral piece which is 5-10 minutes long.

- Instrumentation - please write with the orchestra in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate

- We encourage you to compose with the following instrumentation in mind: 3 flutes, 3 oboes, 3 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 3 trombone, 2 trumpet, 1 tuba, 4 horn, 1 set of timpani
